The cheapest cars to service in SA

If you’ve ever owned a car, I’m sure you’re familiar with something called “Service and Maintenance”. For those who are yet to own a car, Service and Maintenance is like going to the doctor once a year to do a medical check-up, only now it’s with cars and you don’t get a lollipop at the end of the procedure (sad face). But what you do get instead, is assurance that your car will be able to run smoothly for yet another year – unless you’re the world’s worst driver! Anyway, when purchasing a vehicle, one of the most important things to consider is running costs (the costs to keep the car running). These include fuel consumption, tyre consumption and the cost to replace wearable parts such as the brakes, filters, clutches and bearings, just to name a few.

The 2017 and 28th edition of the Kinsey report collects and compiles data regarding the cost to service and repair cars in dealerships across South Africa. The report lists the best cars in their respective classes:

*Manufacturers such as Citroen, Cheverolet, Opel have been excluded from the list due to them having departed the local car market. Parts will still be imported, however it will be from another dealer.

City Cars:
